Absolutely.

Both my twin daughters developed asthma when they were toddlers. One improved almost immediately, and had almost no attacks after the first few. The other got worse and we eventually had to get a nebulizer, she continued to have attacks for several years, but stopped when she was about 5.

My point is, asthma can get better OR worse as children age. And, can even disappear for years and return when they are adults (as it did with my father).

Yes, it can. You child needs to see a doctor and you need to follow his advice to the letter. Asthma can be fatal.
