To help children be socially acclimatised to being with people outside the home. There is less hassle on first days at school as children are not as uncomfortable at being away from their parents. Also some people do not stimulate their children mentally enough at home so to have a place that will provide mental stimulation and the opportunity to splash about at a water tray, paint, interact with others, learn to share etc etc is vital for well balanced children.

To get the little darlings out of the way so mummy can have coffee mornings or afternoons, entertain her friends, lover, milkman. Play tennis with the Pro at the Club and drink G & T in the afternoons and later drive the Chelsea tractor up on to the pavement and block the road to other four wheel drives when she picks them up. Or she just wants to get back to work and needs to know they are somewhere well cared for and safe. Take your pick.

Really lucky bec we don't get much support in the US. It's to help parents go back to work. A lot of places in the UK have it where they work in there building with there child . I BELIEVE THERE COUNTRY PAYS FOR SOME OF IT OR EVEN ALL OF IT.
