My friends doesn't think she's fat, but feels it wouldnt hurt her to lose some weight. She's 5' 7.5". Everyone tells her she's looks really good, but I'm not sure she believes it. She's fairly athletic and is pretty muscular. Is she overweight, and since I'm assuming she's not what can we do to help her understand that?

Wait, I've been corrected. She weighs 130 pounds. My bad. But four pounds people, come on! Anywho...it's 130 instead of 126

She sounds like the perfect size to me. It is pretty difficult to make someone understand that they aren't overweight, because you see the celebrities starving themselves all the time and they think that this is the way a person should look but, they are way wrong. I see underweight people all the time with every rib visible, and their sunken in faces and they think they look good. Tell your friend that boys like girls with a meat on them, most men from what I have seen don't like the bone thin women. Your friend sounds like she is the perfect weight.

I think that if she weighs 130 and is 5 feet 7 and 1/2 inches, that is good. It depends on how her figure is proportioned though. It may not be a good idea for you to tell her that she should lose weight. She is within normal range for her height, I think.

It sounds like your friend has some body image issues. 130lb and 5ft7 or 5ft8 is a very good weight, more on the lower side of the healthy range. And if she is also muscular, I'm willing to bet that her body fat percentage is already low enough. She definitely should not be losing any weight, I think her problem is more psychological than anything. Good friends like you to support her are one in a million. Take care : )

5'7", 130 lbs.
her BMI score is: 20.3
A BMI score of 18.5 to 24.9 indicates you have a healthy body fat ratio. Remember to keep your healthy lifestyle by eating right and exercising.
She is at a healthy weight for her

you should be concentrating on school rather than caring about how you look. going thru puberty and growth in your teens, your body tends to change a lot. I would say worry about how much you way when you are in college. enjoy your youth while you still have it.
