Temperature was about 78 F over the period. No sunlight. Would they still be acceptable to serve ?

Yes they are still good. However they haven't aged since they were stored. Once the spirits come out of the barrels it is done aging.

The aging process takes place when the spirits are in barrels, not in a glass bottle. If the seal is still good they should be fine to drink, but the 12 years didn't do anything to help the taste.

sealed in a bottle that stuff has now aged longer than when it was first purchaced. according to my book it will get better with age. so now maybe its better than it ever was. as long as it dosnt smell funny or like vinigar it should be fine taste it first before serving it to the niebours but 25 year old wiskey is supossed to be good

if the seal has never been broken, yes they are drinkable in fact longer "aging" is better in some liquors

i'm seeing sugarplums. I purely had a blouse on and it went with the stunning martini. of direction now I actually have a nipplage situation via fan breeze. that quite somewhat appears like febreeze. snicker!

Distilled liquor, kept sealed in glass? Should be alright... of course, if it was bad vodka or cheap whisky to start with, it won't have improved either.

yes, i would taste first to make sure it didnt sour or something, but alcohol is usually even better aged, havent you ever noticed how the expensive alcohol has been aged for so many years?

They won't be toxic. The whiskey might even be better. Just taste them and see.

Spirits don't expire, hence the name Spirits, same reason people keep scotch for years and it taste better with time.
