Speaking French in addition to the other languages you speak will only complete your venture into the various languages of the world - and you'll find that French is not too far away from any of the others - it's all in the roll of the tongue in any of them. In fact, I encourage you to try Japanese, Farsi and any other languages of the peoples who may live and thrive in your community. I love languages and learning to speak them. French is so romantic! I teach 8th grade and I dip into the "language bank" all the time and speak to them. They look at me as though I am crazy, but I have heard them often repeat the phrases I have said - and I have had many come to me and want to know, "what did you say". Believe it or not - some of these phrases show up on their state tests and they are not without knowledge - just because I have introduced a language to them. I also point out how very close the language is to all of us in our cultures. Go for it. Learn as much as you can in any language - you will enjoy it - and be better for the time you put into it. I admire you for your ability.

Well you're the one who decides wether you should learn it or not, unless you've been asked to learn it for a job offer or something like that... it would make you smarter anyway ;)
French is a Latin language so Spanish and Italian will help you a lot, they're very close, you shouldn't find it too difficult. Maybe the spelling can be difficult, but even french speakers make mistake so don't worry about that!
Oh by the way, I'm French, so if you decide to learn it and you think I could help, don't hesitate to contact me. Bye!

The more you learn in life, the better for intellect. Keeping your neurones active, prevents Alzheimer. For fun too. If you already know Spanish and Italian, French will be a piece of cake. Besides, it´s a beautiful language.

You speak three different languages? WOW. Good on you for that. The only reason I could think of that would be compelling for you to learn French would be if you dealt with people who spoke French on a regular basis, particularly if you have business dealings with them. In my line of work, we deal with a lot of companies in Quebec. Fortunately, almost all of the people in Quebec speak French and English, but I really think it would help me in my business dealings with people in Quebec if I spoke French fluently. So if you don't need it for work or to be able to communicate with friends who speak French, I'd say you don't really need to learn it.
