They have a right to pray but... why the hell would they ask for seatbelt extensions if they weren't overweight.. that's just plain scary. I'm Catholic and I do say my prayers before every flight but I do it in my head so I don't impose on other people. It's just considerate.

This is quite possibly a setup, done to promote "sensitivity" for their cause. They need to be held for a through investigation and face arrest if this is shown to be the case.

And really, they should be charged and thrown into jail for inciting this disturbance, in any event. It's much worse than yelling fire in a theater in view of what has transpired in recent times.

No one can convince me that they didn't know what they were doing.

They have already pegged some of these "Imams" as having an agenda tied to radical Islam. Expect a lawsuit very soon via our good friends the ACLU (the organization of far left lawyers who also defend NAMBLA aka National Man/Boy Love Association) in order to make it legal for Islamists to act in a bizarre fashion on Airline flights.
Radical Islam will continue to test us and use our freedoms against us. We have only to look at France to see what they intend to do. Can you imagine having thousands of cars burned all over one of our cities? Or that the Police would make "Islamic zones" that they would not enter because of a silent Jihad against them? This is the case in Paris.
My opinion is that if the Islamists want to live under Sharia law, then move to an Islamic nation. In the USA you live under American law, deal with it.

I'm with Marty. I think it's a long term plan. Precisely one of the reasons I think PC (and tolerance to a degree) is out of control.

I also believe that the ACLU is anti-American (and at times even treasonous) and of course CAIR is obviously anti-American and do not belong here.

Well then just be considerate of a persons religion even if it is different from your own. Beside no one should be scard or ashamed to pray in public. I have started many a prayer/good thought circle before geting on a plane.

Imam as long remains mum, you may ignore the hype. Its not the Imams who should decide your reaction.

Secularism should be maintained by Bisops or Imams or Priests in the secular activities like flying by air.

Right or wrong the ACLU is going to have a field day with this.
