I swim 3-4 times a week I use a claifying shampoo every week. Do you wear a swim cap? If you do put some conditioner on your head everytime you swim. Also wash your hair right as you get out of the pool. Be careful with those swimmer's shampoos they dry out your hair so fast, I used it once and my hair was like straw

If you wanted to be extreme , you could wear a swimming cap to keep your hair safe .
Also , I think they make a special formula for people who swim in chlorinated waters , you may call your local hair specialist and check into it .
And if push come to shove , yeah the swimming cap might look dumb , but look how dumb you'll look with burnt , frizzy unhealthy hair that's very expensive to repair .

use a clarifying shampoo.. there are a few brands out there... anyone will do.. or you can look for a brand that specifically has one for swimming that would be better but they are hard to find.. not many out there.
as for the clarifying shampoo just use it when you get out of the pool and leave it on for a min or two... that should help remove it on a regular basis and you wont get the buildup from it.

There are special shampoos that neutralize the chlorine.
Here's one example:

Type "Chlorine neutralizing shampoo" in Google, and you'll find many others.
