i would like to put up beadboard on the walls of my bedroom and want to know the best way to attach it. should I use finishing nails and an adhesive or one or the other?

finishing nails would make it easier to take off (make sure they do into a stud, and fill the nail holes) , but liquid nails works well, if you plan on attaching it forever, if you do use liquid nails realize that this will basically be permanent, and you would have to re-sheetrock if you decided to take it down. I would use finishing nails. and make sure to caulk the seems so it looks seemless.

yep, use the nails or the person who owns it after you will be cursing you. That way no drywall will get destroyed.
