sounds like some of the color came off with the scab. Did you pick the scab or just let it come off? Picking lifts the color with the scab. Try putting lotion on it. I would probably go back to the artist who did it and let them look at it. They may have to do touch up work. After my scabs lifted, the tattoo was actually darker and color was more vivid.

After a scab falls off some tattoos will have a coated white look to it that takes a long time to heal but if your tattoo artist used good ink, the tattoo will come back looking just as it did when you left the shop. Same thing happened to me, mine took a little over two months to completely heal. If it doesn't come back looking dark, I would go talk to your tattoo artist.

normally you will go through 2 pealing stages the first is a heavy scab peel and the second is more like a sunburn peel before the last peel your tattoo will look faded if its been at least 2 wks and all your lg scabs are gone lufa if your colors don't brighten up go back to your artist.

it depends on what you mean by pale? it depends on what colors were used in your tattoo. my most recent tattoo (a skull on my foot which can be seen at http://www.myspace.com/jctattoos ) anyway, the yellow in my tattoo was less bright when my scabs were gone so i recently got a retouch and now it is bright! sometimes lighter faint colors will not keep their brightness on the first application, especially if your skin is a little darker. good luck on your tattoo!!!

No.
It should be very dark black. You should go back to where you got it done, and have them take a look at it. My didnt fade until 2+years went by.
