"I love the perfume you're wearing".
" I love to hear you sing and play the piano"
Once my teacher friends visited my church and heard me play and sing. Their compliment to me was the most moving - it was, "the song you were singing really ministered to my heart and my life".
Once I played for a wedding and the bride wanted only religious or christian songs. I didn't have a problem with it - in fact, I had many selections to choose from. I was so moved when I played and sang: Holy, Holy, Holy and Great Is Thy Faithfulness. After the services, I was approached by many of the parishoners and given many, many compliments for the songs I selected - in fact, I received "tips" from several of them to the tune of ($150 when all said and done) It wasn't so much the money, but I felt so happy that I had made others happy. Tears were flowing freely - that's when I know the Spirit has done His job - not me. I was just a vessel. I take compliments very seriously, because I appreciate when I have made someone else happy, but I know and realize that it's never me when it comes to the music - it's always what the Spirit of the Lord has done in me and allows me to do in others through the gift He gave me.

Actually, the compliments I remember the most are from strangers. People tell me I have beautiful hair. It makes me feel good that someone I don't even know went out of their way just to tell me that. In return, I compliment people I don't know too. It's so nice to see someone's face light up and to know that I just made their day.

I surely have a tricky time accepting compliments purely because i over analyze human beings's words..quite somewhat obsessively each and every from time to time ! that's undesirable because each and every from time to time even the most authentic words initiate to sound insulting...

That my eyes sparkle especially when I'm happy. Also it's nice to hear that I've lost weight or that I look hot once in awhile from my boyfriend.

Whenever I put make-up on, my husband tells me to take it off, because I look much more beautiful real & natural.

He also tells me I have an "innocent" looking face, I don't know if that's a compiment lol.
