and war for two thousand years? Doesn't sound like an act of love to me?

I can almost feel the Christian's inward-thinking brains spinning out of control trying to come up with an answer to this!

Jesus did not do this.

The four gospels were not written by the apostles.

They were written close to the end of the first century long after the apostles were dead and gone. The john who wrote revelations was not the apostle john. He was a poor man kept in prison so long that he simply lost his mind and started to imagine a vengeful God who would punish his captors and anyone like them.

The bible was created 2 centurys later by the roman empire to change the message of Jesus to something that the Romans found more acceptable.

This is why it is often difficult to understand. The message of Jesus on the other hand is elegant and simple to understand. You need to separate the message that Jesus left for us from all of the nonsense that the Romans overlaid it with and it will start to become quite easy to understand.

Don't take my word for any of this. Study biblical history for your self and draw your own conclusions. There are many good books on this subject by some intelligent and thoughtful people. Take advantage of their efforts.

Email if you are interested and I will send so suggested reading material.

Love and blessings.
Don

He didn't. The Church established by Jesus Christ is perfect. We screwed it up, with lots of help from Satan. See, any church that professes belief in God and Jesus Christ is a favorite hangout for the Devil. He doesn't have to expend any effort on those who don't believe in God or don't really care -- he already has them in his clutches. It's those who profess a belief in God that he really has to work on. He tries to mess things up by bringing hardship to the followers of Christ so we get discouraged, he preys on our selfishness and pride so we don't treat each other with Christian love the way we should, and he also preys on our weaknesses in an attempt to make us sin against God. Oh, I also forgot that he preys on our judgmental nature so we're not sympathetic or forgiving toward those who sin, even though God is and He tells us that we should forgive others as He forgave us.

You can't lay all the blame for worldwide misery and 2,000 years of war at the feet of God. That's just human nature -- we are the ones who put our own selfishness in front of love, peace and understanding. THAT is what causes war. When you have people who refuse to change their minds on any particular issue or you have greedy individuals that want power (like Hitler, Stalin, Hussein, etc.) you have conflict. Don't blame God for that. Blame those who believe they have the right to do whatever they want with no regard for their fellow human being for wars.

He did not. Man took the words of Christ, and the apostles, and countless other men and women before them and twisted them. There is also the fact that there is an overall lack of understanding as to the true meaning of certain scripture, which must be understood in a precise cultural context. Christ taught peace and love. If humanity were to abide by his words, the world would be much better off.

He didn't, humans did that by drifting away from his teachings, starting in the time of the Apostle Paul, who thought he had worked for nothing because Christians had returned to the observances, rituals, and holidays of men. Now you need to ask yourself is whether you are still doing the things he was talking about 1900 years ago?

Jesus did not give a divisive religion, He gave us the truth, it is satan & mankind that has messed everything up. It is man that causes war.

All of this happens because of the sin in the world. And from, sorry to say it, but people who question his judgement. It says in the bible that even the angels dont understand why he loves us so much. Its just up to you to recieve the free gift of salvation. Im not tryin to preach to you, just my side of your question.

because we have our own free will!
HE the Father will not FORCE you to do anything- he wants us to love and have peace, and in his eyes I think there is no color, just a human race.
it is us that make things bad- war, crimes, racist, evil doers, it is not of the Father.

The word (Bible) is there- for all who wish to read, and when you do not understand it, ask the Father for wisdom.

Nobody forced eve to eat of the forbidden fruit, it was of her own will.

we are free moral agents. it is up to us to make our own decesions.
God will NEVER FORCE.
