Not just yes but HELL YES!

Yes. I believe we should use profiling for security. Unfair but sorry. Actually, use profiling simultaneously with what I'll call "selectively random" searches. The profiling will target the most likely pool, and the selectively random will reduce the risk of some other pool doing the deed.

I say "selectively random" because NO, we do NOT need to be taking apart 89-year-old Aunt Minnie's walker when she flies, so let her through!

Oh yeah - just for the record, I'm a proud LIBERAL. I believe in habeas corpus and the Bill of Rights, and I'm glad for the ACLU even when I disagree with them on particular cases. If we get habeas back, we'll have an institutional protection against the "evils" of profiling. Hey, no world is perfect! We just do what we MUST do, and no more (or less).

Dopey? It's a violation of American(international) Law to
discriminate against People of a different race or religion !
This idea that Muslims should all be suspect Terrorist simply because they are Muslim is complete arrogance and paranoia and is a reminder of how Hitler was able to raise to power!

Considering that a mere 99% of all terrorist activity since 9/11 has been conducted by Muslim men in their 20s and 30s, yes, I would say they have brought this treatment on themselves.

I'd much prefer being alive to sparing someone else's feelings.

Uh, gee..... Who slammed planes into 3 buildings and a field on 9/11? Was it:
a) grade school children on a field trip?
b) seniors from a nursing home out on a lark?
c) members of a Boy Scout Troop?
d) Muslim fanatics with a deep hatred of the Western way of life?

If you picked d, then I suppose we should subject them to stricter scrutiny at the airports.
No brainer!!!

Could you imagine the scare the other passengers must have had. 12 Muslims praying loudly before they got on a plane. Given the times we live in Muslims should not be outraged.

absolutely.unfortunately in this case a few bad apples spoil the bunch.since they are the ones who think it's holy to blow themselves up or fly planes into buildings to inflict harm on others they leave airports no choice.think about it,if you had a choice of taking a flight between two planes going to the same place departing and arriving at the same time but one plane has Muslims on it and the other one doesn't.which plane would you take.

I can't believe how many people actually say "Yes". I'm sorry but you guys need to read The Universal Declaration of Human Rights!

http://www.unhchr.ch/udhr/index.htm

The answer is an obvious NO. No human is to be classified according to his race and sex or colour.

If you're going to say "Yes", you might as well want to revive Fashism, Nationalism, Sexism... Oh yes and don't forget to take with you your KKK membership card and a torch just in case you bump with any "nigers" right!?

Shame on everyone who lets their fears conquer above Logic and Common Sense.
