Is 7 bottles of wine over 7 days too much? Red wine. One per day?

I personally dont thik its too much. It varies on your own metabolism, resistance to alcohol etc.

Its 21 units a week for a guy, 14 for a lady. 125ml of wine is one unit. Therefore a bottle (750ml) of wine contains 6 units. So you are drinking double the recommended maximum.
Slow down a bit mate. No more than half a bottle a day. Three bottles a week should be a safe target for you.

Medically speaking yes, a man is allowed 3 units per day (i.e. 3 250mls of wine) and women are allowed 2 units per day (2 250mls of wine) so a bottle a day seems too much.

Depends on your weight.
Depends on frequency ( e.g. 7 bottles one day and none for the next six would not be good )
Depends on your age.
Depends on the quality of the wine.
I thought I was happily drinking a bottle a day and an extra two or so over the weekend and my doctor now says I have damaged my liver over 45 years.
Simple answer may be stop before you get drunk. Drunks are bores!

1 glass of wine is arond 2 units of alcohol so as men can have 21 units and women 14 a week then about 7 or 11 glasses a week, depending on your gender

I'm sure its probably too much but I drink a bottle each evening. The only problem I seem to have is the weight it seems to put on! .................... anyone know how many calories there are in a standard bottle of wine?

That's quite a lot. If you had it with large meals, and drank it slowly, I suppose it's on the outside of being OK, but you really are pushing it here.
You know, many people believe that alcoholism is caused by drinking too much, although there is probably such a thing as a predisposition.

Well.... my hubby and I usually have a bottle of red, not every night but when we do we finish the bottle, it only amounts to 2 glasses each. It is supposed to be good for you. A little of what you fancy does you good, so the saying goes. Cheers.
