I really don't think that it has anything to do with actually wanting them back...

It probably has more to do with just not wanting to see their ex with someone else.

After you get in another steady relationship, that feeling goes away usually.

I have been in that kind of that i dumped my boyfriend and he wanted to came to back to me. I realized that some times when a man or women comes back is because they know they won't find another person like u.

It kinda goes with the whole the grass is greener on the other side thing. Sometimes people just want to see what else is available to them, but after they break up they realize that they've made a huge mistake, and what they had was wonderful and they don't want anything else.

When I first met my wife, I broke up with her while we were dating for 4 days, because I just needed time to think, and make sure that she was the right person for me to marry.
Now, we are happily married, and I am glad that I took the time to step back, and think for a little while.

Sometimes people make rash, quick, heated decisons and then when they get calmed down and think about it, they realize what a mistake they made, then they want the person back.
