Can you put a sight on a Long/Recurve Bow? Can you put a Pop Up arrow rest like on compound bows onto a Long/Recurve? Finally, what is Traditional form and how do you aim using it?

Yes you can put a sight on any bow. However, most people do not put them on Long Bows and only a few put them on Recurve Bows due to the latest trend of "going Traditional". You could probably put a pop up rest on a recurve that has an arrow shelf but most folks just shoot off the shelf itself. There is no room on the Long Bow to put a rest. Traditional form of shooting is using a Long Bow or Recurve and using no sights or releases. You use your three fingers to draw the bow and use the gap between your arrow point and the target to aim. It takes quite a bit of practice to get good at shooting this way but can result in quicker and quieter shots once you do. Good luck.

Usually a traditional recurve or long bow has no sights and must be instinctively aimed, using the tip of the arrow. If you've got a taken down recurve like I do,you can mount a sight and quiver on it as well as a stabilizer.

Do a search on 'Instinctive aiming with recurve bows' for more info.

No sir that bow will fit you just fine, the bow is made to be that length and really your height compared to the bow doesn't matter at all. Samick bows are nice if you are looking to just get started into traditional archery. Goodluck we need more people to get into the traditional shooting.
