I don't think it is common but it certainly is not abnormal.

I went through the same thing and I was always wondering and worrying. Now, a decade later, I'm married and I think that maybe I was thinking too much.

So don't worry about it so much and take it easy. Things will work out, especially if you don't worry about it so much. Don't let you anxiousness to have sex and have a girl friend lead you to circumstances where you really might have to worry.

If you feel its right and you feel your ready, go ahead.

Yes it is to be a virgin. Less common to have not had a gf, but not completely out of this world.
Most women are not virgins though by 20.
They say that women have an average of 10 partners throughout their lives.
The problem?
8 of those 10 are all the same 8 guys! The smooth talking good looking guys who get 1-2 women every single night if they want it.
The remaining 99% of us guys don't get nearly as much.

no not at all, my boyfriend's first girlfriend was me and that was when he was was 21, there is nothing wrong with him and i have been with him for over 2 years, he just didnt find the right person, as for the virgin thing i know a lot of people who are still virgins when they are 20/21 and upwards, there is nothing wrong with you adn the more that you think you are the more time it will take for you to find that person!

Yes. Its rarely spoken of, as most males are not comfortable with this issue. Peer concepts dictate that males are supposed to be highly secually active, and should have multiple past partners, when in actuality, its very normal and common for a good portion of males to not have partners or engaged in sex at this age.

Yes it is normal. It's just not really spoken. Guys tend to keep that to themselves due to the social pressure to have sex. Don't worry about it. When you least expect it you'll meet a nice girl and you'll be able to tell if she likes you as more than friends. Trust me. You're fine. I am not religious and never had a serious gf till I was 20 and she was my first. To this day we are still together (although we have been struggling a little lately). If finding the right girl is important to you, it doesn't matter how old you are and it shouldn't matter to her.
