I think your question reveals that you have your mind made up already. You incorporate the word "lie" which i can neither refute nor support since i do not have the answer. As to the sex of an omnipotent being, well i believe that it is inconsequential, the being is all powerful. I believe "he" is just more satisfying to those who set the parameters by which the majority of society lives by. Whether you subscribe to the theory of creation or evolution, or there being a heaven or hell etc. alot of the decisions you adhere to in your life constitute a person's belief in God. For example, i am unsure sometimes of the existence of God eventhough i was raised catholic. I might not believe but i still adhere to the tenets of religion because they seem to be logical and reasonable and promote a civil society. Albeit you have certain theologist extremist who might use religion to subjugate others and justify a cause. I would submit tghat God is in us all, it is the sense of conscience, altruismm, duty and nobility within.

There is only faith that God exists - there will probably never be proof. As to sex, I don't see why God [if such an entity exists] should be of any particular sex. I don't suppose God would have an organic body and a capacity to have sexual intercourse, and with whom? It almost blasphemous to think of it. A good question is why do you care if people believe in a God? Believers are supposed to evangelize but why try to convert people to atheism? In fact it pays in a way for atheist to encourage faith because the churches do so much for the poor in your and other countries through mission services.

Because He created the 120 million cells & 130 trillion chemical/electronic connections called your brain. God has placed in each man a desire to know Him and an innate knowledge of Him (like an adopted child who searches for their biological roots). Whether you choose to believe He exists or not won't knock Him off His throne. Peace :-)

If I believe 2+2=8, does that make it correct?

He isn't a lie. thats why you should believe. God does exisit and it pains him to see you in this dilema. He wants to help you and save you if you will only let him into your heart.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, so whoever believeth in him may have everlasting life." John 3:16

Well he is referred to as a male in the bible. He created Adam in his own image. It could be a typo but i am for the thought that God is a multi-colored multi-nationality being who is both male and female and neither. An impotent representation of what we would like to be.

who made the sun 7 moon?
who made the snad & sea?
who made men 7 women?
who made love & hate?
who made war & peace?

You don't have to believe. That's part of the awesomeness of the God of my understanding. I was created by a God much bigger than any human gender (he/she) also.

As crude as the question you are still asking. Consider there being nothing else and take it however if you want to see more you can. Depends what you want as proof and how far you willing to go and possibly to sacrafice to look early.

Adam and Eve had an apple to.
