This is easy as pie ;-) and delicious
Ingredients:
3 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 cup white corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons melted butter or margarine
1 cup broken pecan meats
1 unbaked 9 inch pastry shell


Directions:

Beat eggs slightly; add sugar and beat well. Add syrup, flavoring, salt and melted butter or margarine. Spread pecans over bottom of pastry shell and pour egg mixture over them. Bake in moderate oven, 350 degrees, for 45 mins or until done.

The best one I have found is actually on the side of the Kayro Syrup bottle...it's white corn syrup and is SOOOO good when done right. Oh and here's a tip if you don't already know it...if you have problems with pies over flowing then put a cookie pan under the bottom of the pie pan to catch over flows AND if your crust starts to look more done than the rest of the pie you can place a pie pan upside down over the pie (to create a sort of lid) that will make the heat concentrate on the center to finish cooking that rather than continuing to heat just the crust....works like a charm.

light corn syrup can be substituted for dark in any recipe. it will change the flavor slightly, but it will turn out ok.
