I am a librarian. I would not get pie for anyone, especially if it was all the way downstairs. At most, I will get someone a glass of water from the library staffroom, if they agree with me that I am a kind and wonderful person.
I think you should get your lazy @ss downstairs and get the pie yourself, and bring a double helping for the librarian to apologize for pestering her. Also take her some chocolate. And a magazine. That is all.
