It sounds like you guys are at a stalemate. Someone needs to make a move, and it doesn't hurt for you as the woman, to be that one.
Eventually, it sounds like you guys may just end up not liking each other because of this "no, you first" attitude.

You can't ignore someone that you like. You have to talk to him. If he likes you then he'll ask you out, but if you get too impatient then ask him out. It's not that big of a deal. If he tells you no then you can deny that you ever asked. It's simple. Just go for it.

Just leave him alone if he ignoring you. to me it sounds like you are better off trying to ignore him he'll probably notice but than again he can be trying to get to know you better and than he'll go to that second step and that is ask you out so just try.

if you like him...go to him and ask him out....dont wait for him and dont be too shy....before you know it a year will pass...then another...and another....and another....and another......so go for it!!!! if he makes fun of you or are ugly towards you...let him be...his the idiot then!!!!! and should it happen he doent deserve you anyway...then you embarres him infront of his friends by showing and telling him what he missed out on....if he is the type of guy you are looking for he will date you...some guys just dont have the courage to confront ladies......ever had to speech infront of class....its the same...only worse!!!!
