Apparently this lowlife showed no remorse about what he had done but he cried when his dog was put down. Pity he didn't think about the consequences before he encouraged his dog to attack the cat he dangled over it.
Hopefully this person will come into contact with animal lovers in jail and he might get a more appropriate punishment from them.
I think that people who are so cruel and callous to animals can be just as nasty to people and they are a menace to society. It has been reported that many convicted murderers have a history of animal cruelty and torture.
Offences like this should be taken much more seriously and harsher punishments meted out.
The punishment I would give him would probably get me a jail sentence!

I can't believe a guy would do something like that. What I would feel like giving him is jail for a year hard work make him go to animal centre and do 500h and of coure take his dog away. But I can't really say cause i'm not ecxactly very keen on going to jail any time soon. But still i would never feed a cat to a dog especially a live cat

I would love to let my two rottweilers and two pit bull terriers have there way with him but I cant have everything my way. To do that to a animal is just down right cruel. I say effect him for life,send him to jail for the four months and give him a felony on his record so that way when he get out he cant find a job or do other things in life that a felony prevents you from doing. That is so disturbing.

This was actually filmed and it was on the news last night..that poor cat suffered a horrific death .His punishment should be to be attacked in the same way but fortunately we live in a society where most people simply aren't that cruel!he is pure evil and will probably do it again when he gets out of prison lets just hope its not a child or something next time- sick sick sick!

I saw a special on the tube a few years back and a Chinese guy was boiling kittens live. After 3 minutes the kitten was still opening it`s mouth and still moving it`s legs . Forget an APBT attack, I`d like to maul the guy myself. No jail time for any of them just street justice. Give out a medal for killing a cat ? Why don`t you go to Iraq and earn a medal for yourself, posthumously ?

This gives bull terriers a real bad name, i think its disgusting i would never feed my bull terrier a cat without first giving it its hamster starter, what was this guy thinking.

unfortunately i don't think any punishment is good enough,
he needs to have a brain transplant or at least some kind of therapy.
i read this story too and he still thinks its funny and is not in the least bit remorseful.
there is no hope for some people but its heartening to see all the positive replies on here, i was expecting a troll or two to appear but so far so good.

He should have got a hefty fine - which should have been donated to a cats charity.
Banned for life of ever keeping pets.
His dog taken away & re-homed
Community service in his local Cats/animal shelter cleaning out their ****, every day for at least 6 months.

He should be sentanced as though he's killed a person, it's no different really. the poor cat couldn't defend itself and it's just sickening to think he only got 4 months !! what if in 4 months time he feeds his neighbours todller to the his dog. nasty nasty nasty !!! personally i'd throw him in a pool with a shark and watch him get eaten !!
