my toes in the middle of the night when im sleeping, i have to leave my room door open at night for air otherwise i cannot sleep. since a few months ago my mad cat has watched me twiddling my toes in my sleep and i can only assume he thinks they are some type of small prey,it is a very shocking and painful expierience to be woken from your sleep this way,he bites my toes while attacking with his claws ,i once kicked my foot out in shock and he literally threw across the room into the dressing table with a thud and scarpered, but it has made him more determined to "kill my toes" at night, socks on do not stop him either, and if i lock him in a room he meows all night and scratches the door paint and wallpaper near the door to get out,any ideas anyone ! HELP.

I do feel sorry for you my cat use to do this and bounce on you while your asleep.
I have no idea why and he still does it now.
Not as much thank goodness. Cause god did it hurt. Such small sharp teeth and claws! He still 'kneeds' you every time he comes for a cuddle. I guess he was bored but i didnt know what to do it was the middle of the night. I dont even know what to suggest as ours didnt stop he just does it less frequently - i took to sleeping with uggboots on - depending where your from thats like a ankle high slipper, or tucking your blanket in so your feet cant get out. I wish i had an answer for you but i just thought i'd let you know your not the only one out there. Good luck.

I have a 70 pound dog and a 7 pound cat. They actually like each other. The cat "face-marks" the dog all the time. They play a lot, and seem to communicate on some level. Alpha male dogs have some dominance issues, so if they are not getting along, it's best to keep them apart as much as possible.

Its true, your cat is bored. Get it some interesting toys. Crumple up a piece of paper, and throw it at him. Have a crumpled piece of paper tied by some string. suspended from a couple of feet above the cat's height. Cats love to play with items dangling just above them. Go to the pet shop and buy a couple mouse like toys.

I had the same problem about a year ago. I had to tuck my comforter under my mattress so I wouldn't kick the blankets off my feet. When my cat couldn't see my feet move any more she quit pouncing on them when I was sleeping.

My cat Sylvester used to attack my brother in the middle of the night when I was a little kid. He would attack his face though. I always got scared and put my blanket over my head. He would only do it to my brother because he slept in his bed and not in mine. Some cats are just weird.

Buy him some more cat toys. Spray bitter apple on your socks a few nights that should help him find something else to do with his time at night.

ha ha ha I've had many a cat that has enjoyed that game. Boot him off a few times, he'll get the hint eventually. Of course he might decide to come and bite your nose next, I've had a couple that like to do that too.

get a cage to put him or her in after a while they will stop meowing and let you sleep. or get a cage and put them in it when they start to go after your feet and put them in it then they will start to learn not to do that to you. but all in all it is in their nature to do that good luck on your cat
