Could be heel spurs or plantar fasciitis. Make sure your shoes have enough support and if it doesn't get better see a podiatrist.

Your husband probably suffering from " Ghaut. " To cure the pain on your heel, U need to avoid taking meat and beans for a week. It will remove the pain. The pain on your heel is because your body contain excessive protein. So reduce protein intake for a week. Everything will be fine after that.

PRESUMABLY HE IS ON HIS FEET A LOT DURING DAY? IF THIS IS THE CASE IT IS JUST THE STRESS OF BEING ON HIS FEET A LOT, IS HE OVERWEIGHT AS THIS WONT HELP AND I SHOULD KNOW BECAUSE I CARRY A FEW EXTRA POUNDS AND MY FEET ACHE A LOT AT TIMES.IF NOT WHAT I DO IS PUT MY FEET IN BOILING HOT SALTED WATER FOR 10 MINUTES THIS USUALLY HELPS THEM RELAX, I ALSO WOULD SUGGEST PUTTING AN EXTRA SHOE SUPPORT ON FOR A FEW DAYS OR A PIECE OF FOAM IN THE SHOE, THIS WILL TAKE A LOT OF THE PRESSURE AWAY.I HOPE HE GETS WELL SOON TAKE CARE.

I could be bursitis. It happened to me once. The doc gave me cortizone shots for it. I've not had anymore pain now that I spend most of my day barefoot.
