Emails me but never calls?

I met this guy who is a solo musician through myspace. I enjoyed listening to his music and noticed he was playing a show in san diego exactly the day i was going to take my little vacation there. I emailed him and told him that I was going to show up for his show, and to make a long story short, when we met for the first time we could not stay away from each other. We had some much chemistry that random people thought we had been dating for a while. That night was a great night, he serenaded me and made just made every moment special. We ended up having sex and it was great. The next morning he went off on his tour and I gave him my number and we told each other we would keep in touch. It's been almost five months since we have seen each other and we email one another at least once a week. We've kept in touch and made plans to meet up in san diego in two months. I know he cares about me but I just don't understand why he doesn't call me. He is the shy nerdy type i dnt get it

he has to keep the door open just in case he wants to get back if he needs to or the opportunity presents itself. that shy nerdy stuff, OK maybe before anything jumped off i can see that but now that it has the ball is in his court and he either wants to be with you or not. if it's there, he will make a way to ensure that it happens again. if it's a question about how what happened changed the relationship, that is something you have to decide to figure out if you're willing to wait around to have explained to you.
