I agree that cup hooks added under your existing cupboards are a good way of doing this and added wall mounted shelving is another good way to go as well. Another choice is one I just saw on TV last week on the Rachel Ray Show. Take an existing, bookcase(built in or free standing) and change the back panel to a different, contrasting color then the rest of the bookcase with paint, stain or wallpaper. You can display your cups in that by themselves or mix it up by using other items that compliment or "theme" well with the cups( antique coffee grinders, glass bottles filled with coffee beans, framed pictures of places or activities that they came from, cookbooks stack lying down to change up the display layout of the cups or other books with the paper jackets removed) You have a wide range of things you can do to make it personalized to your home and your personality. This works with anything that you want to show off in your home and you can change it up for different seasons or special parties by simply changing the back panel color(paint is pretty inexpensive and you can find a lot of papers that remove easily) and the items that you display them with. The possibilities are endless.
