Healthy hair does not knot. I would suggest that you start using products that return your hair to shiny health. In the meantime, keeping your hair in braids that can be pinned to your head to get them out of the way might be a good idea.
I suggest you start using products like Garnier Fructis Long & Strong.

Have you considered donating some of your hair to Locks of Love? It's an organization that uses human hair to make wigs for cancer patients who have lost their own hair due to chemotherapy. You would have to be willing to cut off at least 10 inches, but that would help with some of the knotting. If you are not willing to cut it, you should definitely take the time to find a hairstylist who can assist you in finding the right products for your hair. Most reputable salons will offer you a free consultation where you can discuss your hair issues with a professional. You didn't mention your hair texture. Is it fine, straight, thick, curly? I hope this helps some. Have an excellent Thanksgiving.

Braiding is a perfect style, like a bunch of micro braid, and they will last for a few weeks to months if you take care of them right and dont have really thin hair. Cornrows would be good too.
