Hi, I've been having a long running misunderstanding/dispute with a man I know. I see a friend(male)of his once a week because my he tutors my son. he has never mentioned anything about this other man and neither have I until yesterday. It slipped out, and when I said we had an issue, he said very quickly "I don't want to get in the middle of that". I have had my suspicions for a long time that he knows something about the situation, but now I think he definitely knows something but has been keeping quiet. Does that comment indicate he does know?

It sounds like he does have some knowledge. Whatever the issue is between you and the tutor, he does not want to be involved. He must know that his friend is tutoring your son. I would not be surprised if the tutor mentioned it to his friend.

He either does not feel that it is his place to get involved or he does not want to hurt his relationships with the two of you. Either way, it is best for you to leave him out of it.

Take care,
Troy

He may know some details, but the reason he doesnt want to get involved is because he knows and appreciates each persons circumstances and probably doesnt want to spoil or create tension between your friendship.

Yes, he know, he knows enough to know that he does want to be caught in the middle of anything. My advice - respect him, and don't get him involved by discussing the issue with him.

It appears to me that he does know of something, because he wouldn't have made that comment if he didn't.
