Actually, it really depends in which state you are from. Currently in Virginia, kids under 12 do not need a license. Ages 12 to 15 need a "junior" hunting license and those 16 and over need a regular hunting license. Children under 12 may hunt only if directly supervised by an adult. Those 12 to 15 need to complete an approved hunter's education program before being allowed to buy a license or hunt. I hope this answered your question.

that really depends on the state that you live in. in maine, you cant hunt at all until your 10, and you need a junior license, and cant hunt alone. when you turn 16, you can continue hunting on the junior license, but the next year, you need to get an adult license, and you are required to take a hunters safety course b4 you get an adult license. after yout get your adult license, you can hunt alone.

in mississippi you dont have to have a licenses until you are 16. but somebody under that age is not supposed to be hunting without adult supervision. but not to many game wardens inforce that rule. i started hunting when i was six and started being bymyself when i was 8 and have been ever since. i got my sportsman gold when i was 13 therefor i will never have to buy a hunting licenses.

In Kansas, you have to have a hunting or fishing license when you are 16. If you are younger than that, you have to have a hunter's safety card on you at all times.

I think they can't technically hunt on their own. They need to be supervised by adults.
