Mav don't think so. Sadly many Christians and Muslims don't ever really know their *own* religions.

Sadly 95% of Christians don't know what Islam is about as, western media has hid the truth about Islam because of "political correctness" But history does not lie ! Muhammad started Islam in the 7th centry A.D buy the sword & this is what is happening today. On the other hand Moslems read the Torah (5 books of -Mose's) & still can't understand that God promised the holy land to the Jews (Genesis 28:13 etc.) & that He is "the God of Israel" which is stated 203 times. The user called "Propet Muhammed" has summed it up perfect !!!

I am a Christian and sad to say that I don't know that much about Islam. What I know about Muslims is what I see on tv. I don't see Muslim leaders on the media rebuking the extreme Muslim terrorists like Christian leaders rebuke Christians that create violence in the name of God.
Maybe you could help us to understand this better.

Your question is valid. However it has to be addressed to different groups -- let say to begin with to people aged between 15-20, 20-30, 30-5o and 50 up. Now, we can answer. So far the responses state (15-20) they know zilch. as for 20-30 they know the titles but not the content. 30-50 they know what newspapers or the TV. radio content gives them about. and 50 + they begin to understand the differences and not the commonness of these religious practices. The rest is details, I leave it to your imagination on what is knowing and what is real understanding followed by tolerance. I do not rest my case since the subject has been talked about since these religious beliefs came into existence.

I am a Christian and my answer to this is "Yes" we do know Islam. Majority (80%) of the the believers know Islam from beginning to end, from creation to accepting Jesus as Lord and Saviour.
Most Muslim does not know anything about the Christianity, they always refers to the religion of the pope as christian (100%). and the cross as the symbol of christianity (not Jesus as the symbol of christianity).
I know this because I live with them for 10 years and study the Qur'ar, hadith, and the Al Bakkarah and their customs and traditons. mind you Muslim differs from one another in belief.

All of those faiths are appealing and motivate people to do large and compassionate issues. besides the undeniable fact that, while a political ideology or greed is disguised by utilising faith, then that's risky and evil. people who use the religion to fool and harm others at the instant are not real believers and don't have confidence. Examples comprise the KKK (claims to help Protestant Christianity) and Al Queda (claims to help Sunni Islam). those every person is impostors.

Muslimah if I tell you the truth you will just reject it. But none the less. The truth is the Bible. But the truth started with the first people of God. God said let us create man in our image and he formed his body from the clay and breathed in his spirit and the two became a living soul. This is the image of God Father,Son and Holy Spirit. He took from Adam and made Eve and the two dwelt in the Garden of Eden. There were two trees in the midst of this garden. God told tham that they should not eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil and that on the day they ate of that tree they would surely die. well I'm sure you know they dis obeyed God and ate of the tree. Now lets consider for a moment what those trees represent? The tree of knowledge of Good and evil and the tree of life. The knowledge of good and evil Would be the law or God's righteousness. The tree of life would be God's mercy or salvation or as I like to all it Jesus. So we can easily see the two sides of God are represented Gods righteousness the law and God's mercy and salvation aka Jesus. If for a moment you consider this you see God's plan right here in creation. If God's people never read another word they have right there the prophesy of God's salvation. God's righteousness was Moses bringing them the law which they were imperfect and could not live up to. Remember the warning do not eat of that tree because that day you shall surely die.Why would the knowledge of good and evil kill them? Because they were imperfect and could not live up to the law. The wages of sin is death? Why is that? because God is righteous and he can not join himself with sin. That is the reason the tree of life was there because God loved us even though he knew we were sinners and he had a plan of salvation. That plan was Jesus Christ. Jesus was with the father in the begining before the creation of the world he is a part of God. god's plan was that he was perfet and he could overcome sin and he could pay for the sins of man and man could be forgiven and God remains righteous. Jesus came to the world and was tempted by the devil and overcame temptation and paid the penalty for our sins on the cross when he shed his innocent blood. This story of Christ is available in the first book of the Bible if you allow God to show you the truth and it was written over a thousand years before the birth of Christ. and well over that before the New Testament. this is how long the truth has been available to man. and now Muslims say this truth is corrupt because it does not agree with the Qur'an which was written 2000 years later? This truth agrees with the truth that jesus taught and is in agreement with the New Testament but is not in agreement with the Qur'an which calls it the holy word of God.

The only thing that needs to be known about Islam and Christianity is: Islam relegates Jesus Christ to a prophet like Muhammad which is pure blasphemy; Christianity recognizes Christ's rightful place as the risen Savior.

I don't think Christianity spread far enough nor did the Muslim faith to connect.I do not believe in forced religion, that is why we have free will.I sure wish they all would figure out that you can't change the unwilling and quit killing each other!
