Modern day shampoos are tested several times over and over to minimise the sting effect. Sometimes the they are also tested on animals and the amount of impairing caused to them are noted and the shampoo is modified accordingly.

Also some baby shampoos are not too concentrated and do not sting like the usual shampoos do.

Mine ruddy well does! I do it every time, get shampoo in my eye, do a funny little dance thing shouting ouch then stub me big toe on the bath!

they lowered the ph value in shampoos plus they have made alot of improvment to the stuff in the last few years especially enviromentaly safe soaps!!!Daisy

because they stick in the little Bunny to test so that i doesn't sting are eyes don't worry about the Bunny's they gas them then

beacuse shampoos and conditioners are more watered down now a days as it is cheaper for the suppliers.

Probably because they made them so it wouldnt. If it burns your eyes everytime you wash you need to close your eyes...and anyways...why would you want it to?
