hummm ...that's a tough break....the easy answer is just buy one....but....you can cheat making one a bit....you can buy a prepared pie crust....but they usually need to be browned /cooked a bit...ask neighbor for a little help?....or ..... I don't know if this will work with pecan pie because I'v never tried it...maybe use a graham cracker crust? and pour pecan filling which you do prepare on the stove top in it???...with a cracker crust you wouldn't have to bake it,like a reg pastry crust...you can buy a prepared cracker crust as well

Good Luck...

hey, if you do try it with a cracker crust...would you let me know how or, if it turns out?

Get a store bought pie. They aren't so bad. Or maybe your neighbor will let you use their stove until you can get yours fixed or replaced. Another good option is, fess up and explain the situation and have another family member bring a pie instead. They'll understand. In the meantime, call a repair man or invest in a new stove with a good extended warranty on it.

Ask a friend/neighbour if you could use their oven. Make them a pecan pie in return.

Sure more can go wrong it's the holidays. You could get a boil on your butt.

Buy the pie. You can't make pie on the stove top.

It seems suspicious to me that your oven "breaks" every year at Thanksgiving.

My advice - pudding.

Buy a new stove, remember, it could be worse. For instance, your inlaws could be coming to stay with you! lol
