i travel alot and recieve many cookies and pasteries while I'm overseas.. just put them in a regular plastic container, ensure the lid is on tight (put a piece tape on the lid to ensure it doesn't pop open), put the container in a box, wrap it if you want with shipping paper and mail it off!! when you take it to the post office they'll ask what is in it.. just fill out the form and label as pastery. there will be no problem!!!!

When my husband was deployed to Iraq in 03, I used to make him chocolate chip cookies. I would stack them in and empty Pringles can. I even spelled out "I love you" with the chips. However, I did have to trim the cookies to fit in the can. He said they shipped fine. I think homemade cookies may work better then store bought cookies; they are usually softer.

Make sure to package them in a clear see through bag so customs will not open them. They need to be able to see what your sending international. Next, pack them with an ice pack to keep them fresh but at the same time layer them with tinfoil so they will not get wet. Finally put them a semi see through bag, a grocery bag would be best, fold it up and staple the corner so no air can come in.

pack them like you normally would, in a tin. then instead of wrapping them in aluminum foil (someone might mistake for a gun) wrap in tissue paper. thats the best that i can tell you.
