You must be referring to the New Testament since Jesus only came during that time.

Each book, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are different people who wrote the bible. These gospels are not a continuation or a prelude to each other. They are there to account for life of Jesus. And only Matthew, among the four, is the apostle. He was Jesus the whole time.

So don't compare the writings of each Gospel BUT absorb it as it is because you will only get confused. People describe different events in different manners.

One Gospel may say that Jesus is nailed on a tree. While another, the cross. It is because of the style of writing and the education of the writer. Luke is a doctor. If you read his Gospel, you will notice that his language context is good.

If you really want to dig deeper then ask someone who knows the bible to guide you.

I always believe what i read as a youngster at school in the scriptures was true and written chronologically but as I grew older I realised some episodes were diabolical but that does not mean you should not derive enjoyment in reading the bible (it is the best sold book universally) but to answer your quest some things don't add up therefore depicting it was NOT written chronologically

if some one has a car crash ,and the police ask witnesses what happened ,and say for instance you saw the crash from the front you will give your statement,if however i saw the crash from the side view i will give a statement a little bit different from yours, if someone saw the crash from the rear they too will give a statement ,all the story's will be the same but from a different veiw so you may see a little bit extra than the rest. this is what happens with the gospel they all say the same things but in a different order, however if you want the cronological order the only one that is in chronological order is the book of luke and the first verse of luke tells you that the events in his book ,are written in the order they happened . god bless

It is told very well in The Bible and is accurately told in the four Gospels. When these Gospels were written by the Apostles, they didn't realise that one day they were all going to be included in a book which became the Bible. There is some wonderful wisdom in there and it tells the best way to live productively.

Its according to who wrote a particular gospel, Matthew was a tax collector, Luke was a doctor, john was the closest to Jesus, so their writing will be different but the spirit of the gospel is the same. Before He start his ministry, Jesus was living as a carpenter like his father Joseph

Because the writers, who decided to make a God-man legend out of the martyr of Nazareth 40 years after-the-fact, decided to echo the myth of Mithras in his story. People don't realize... the Bible was compiled with a particular agenda in mind.

Several years of Jesus' life, if he really existed, is missing within the Gospels, from what I can see.

His genealogy is completely different in two gospels as well.

For all the people who are saying "Read the Bible, the dates and stuff are in there," no. They aren't. The Bible is not a history textbook. Stop lying for Jesus, okay?

Because it's made up.

The original writings were about the things he SAID, (logoi), like so many other wisdom writings of the time.

Later they found it convenient to put those sayings in a historical context, so they made up the "history" part of the story.

While the basic times, places and some events may be accurate, the details are clearly invented to fit it into a continuous story line.

Although in my opinion the contest of JC is adequately connected chronologically, I assume that you have other sources indicating otherwise. Assuming that he existed, it is well expected that all the mythological elements that have intervened into his biography could be sources of looseness. Nothing strange about that.

Bear in mind that none of the gospels were written down at the time of Jesus, they were passed on by word-of-mouth. When they were written down, there were many versions - even the 4 that now constitute the gospels in the bible differ in content and detail.
