LOL I was the same way. I wanted to like them, they look so goooood but they tasted nasty (like dirt). Try eating a fresh tomato (homegrown) the next time you're in a different state. I used to live in Indiana (known for their tomatoes.. red gold's come from there) but I don't like them there. Now I live in Tenn and like the fresh ones here. The soil makes a difference. If you can't travel, try hydroponic tomatoes.
They say if you try something 10 times you'll like it so just take a bite whenever you can force yourself. And pay attention to the type of tomato too. Some are more acidic then others. Good luck and I hope someday you and your taste buds agree to like tomatoes LOL.

If you can eat tomatoes in small amounts, or in a cooked recipe, then there is no need to worry. Tomatoes, or any other fruit or vegetable, is not to everyones taste. It's more important to eat a heathly, varied diet rather than worry on not eating one particular food item.

Wow I'm not alone! I hate tomatoes by themselves, but I like tomato sauces, tomato soup, juice, etc. I'm not a big ketchup fan either. But I'll even pick large chunks of tomato out of sauces or salsa, and ask restaurants to leave them off of salads and burgers and such. I have never liked them and probably never will, but as far as reaping the health benefits of them, I guess by eating the related tomato products we can still get some of them. Why force yourself to like something that you can live without?

Time will change. I didn't like them as a kid too but over time I can tolerate to a certain extent. In italian cooking I like them and on hamburgers but only when paired with certain things.
