Absinthe (not sure how it's written). And well, it's not the real thing, the alcohol isn't stronger they just use to put a chemical in it that made you hallucinate, but to actually get to that state of mind, you need to drink ALOT of it, but you might just intoxicate yourself and well not have the effects. But the ones that are sold right now, don't have that chemical in them, and even without the chemical, it's illegal in some place and really hard to find. So whatever you friends are drinking, it's "fake" absinthe. So it's like regular alcohol that tastes like s***.

Its Absinthe, they refer to it as "the Green Fairy". It is illegal in most parts of the US. It was very popular in the 1700's and early 1800's, it is made primarily from the leaves and stems of the wormwood plant. It is very bitter, so it is served with very cold water, ratio approx 6 to one, water poured over a sugar cube until the mixture becomes cloudy, called "louching" it is thought to be a hallugenic. History says Vincent Van Gough was drinking Absinthe when he cut off his ear.
