Yes, I do each time I cook turkey. That way it is not sitting out for many hours to thaw. Just wrap in aluminum foil, add water, seasonings and bake for many hours on a low temp.

I have cooked a totally frozen turkey! With no bad results. BUT....to do this I bake it all night the night before covered and on low...about 225 to 250, depending on the size....then in the morning I take it out and remove the bags of innards, baste, and recover, turn the heat up and in a few hours it is completely done. I make about 6 to 8 turkeys a year and have done this for years and no one has ever gotten sick....it is cooked....actually I think it's better because of all the slow cooking, that is what makes meats tender and mine always is...falls right off the bone. I have a large family and turkeys are very cheap sometimes and you get alot of meat and meals out of one turkey so that is why I make so many in a years time. Hope this helps.

You need to get the giblets out, which is hard when it is somewhat frozen. I run water through it to get them out. If you decide to go ahead with this, be sure that the internal temperature is correct, use a meat thermometer, the correct temp for poultry will be listed on it.

I do it all the time. I cook the breast in a crock pot and it always turns out fine. I recommend that you cook it on low or warm (If using a crock pot) until it thaws somewhat(Usually about an hour).

NO WAY put the bird under luke warm water to thaw you want your bird to cook evenly and partially thawed you won't have a precise baking time which you need.

DEFINATELY not - you risk poisoning everyone!

Take the bag of inards out of the carcas and immerse in COLD water. Change the water every hour or so.
