also what grade are you in and if your not in school, when did your parents let you stay home when you were in school?

i'm in the adult program and we do things at our pase.

I was allowed only when it was absolutely necessary, ie sickness, when I had nothing important the day at school and my parents needed me to stay home (making sure i wasn't missing a test hahaha) for whatever was pressing at the time..Otherwise I was not allowed to miss school. Did I skip yes, often no.. got caught a couple times, got grounded, lost some privileges, Did I graduate yes, did I get good grades yes, did I go to college yes. Did it really hurt me ..no..Good luck to you..talk to your folks allot of times they can be very understanding!

My parents would only let me stay home if I was really sick. My cousin's had it harder: their mom's policy was, if you can get out of bed, you can go to school.
But after a while, in high school, I realized missing a lot of school isn't worth it, cause you just have to catch up on the work later, and it usually takes even more time!

I can stay home sometimes if im really tired, or really sick thats only a few times a year though and right now i have only missed 1 day of the school year

I had to be almost comatose before I could stay out which ended up being just a few times ever.
My friend's mother allowed them to stay out so much that they had a truancy officer come to the house. They both became high school dropouts because education wasn't important in their family.

well i would let them stay home only whenever there is a school delay or whenever they dont feel too good. and dont make a habit of keeping your kids home from school all the time because it will make the kids think you approve them skipping and they will skip they will. my mom let me stay home when i didnt feel good and whenever there was a school cancellation. and a couple of times back when i was in middle school.

I only got to stay home if I was sick, or there was a death in the family, etc.
