Both roads are paved with good intentions, but the ones leading to heaven are SINCERE. There is a difference.

Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

these sayings should not be taken too literally and are really just a play on words, ultimately we all rely on Gods mercy and grace to be able to do good,as no-one is good only God.
