Well, throughout history, there has been thousands. Just about every culture had the own gods. Greeks had over 40 gods, Egyptions had over 60 gods, and those are just the obvious ones. What about the Inka's, and various American Indian cultures. Even the middle east before Mohamed brought Allah and Jesus brought Christianity had hundreds of Gods... One for just about everything. Exact numbers, I don't think any would ever be able to give you that, but I could be wrong, let's see what is posted (other than the Christians who say only one god, and muslims who say only one allah).

You might as well ask how many people there have been throughout history. All cultures have had their visions of the Divine in different forms and each person has had their own view of them.
Personally I believe we are all a part of the Divine and therefore all of us are Divine, just as all living things are Divine.

there is only one god
whatever u call him through out the history but it always points towards one...
for example when u say jesus is the prophet of god and the other one says Esa is the prophet of god and another one says Yasu is the prophet of god...
overall they are talking about the same personality...same prophet..
so whatever u call him he is the one..
