Dear Muslimah!
Basically inferiority/ superiority complex forces the people to insult folks of other religions.
This bad habit started in the very beginning of Islam, when many new Muslims were ridiculed by the "Mushrikeen" (Non believers). Then when ever they or bad Christians got a chance, they insulted Muslims.
Basically, every religion is against cruelty and preaches to be peaceful.
Holy Prophet (Peace and blessings of Allah Almighty be upon him) had been named as "Rahmat-ul-Lil-Alimeen", i.e. Peace for all the Worlds.
As Muslim we are following our dear Prophet. But, unfortunately, some of us has started doing so, in retaliation to the insult carried out by the people from other religions.
Previously, Insulting the folks from other religion was not the act of Muslims.
Now a day Muslims are being killed and rogered by many nations due to our own weaknesses.
We should remain united to fight against the EVIL.

To insult anyone, for whatever reason is bad manners. However to question the precepts of another person's religion in an intellectual way is neither rude nor insulting and is a good way to develop greater understanding on both sides.

It is not fun, it is necessary. The major "ultimate truths" (religions) have the END OF THE WORLD as there final and highly anticipated goal. In order to keep the zealots among them from trying to carry out such rubbish in the nuclear age, we have an obligation to marginalize religion wherever and when ever it rears it's ugly head to prevent that.

I normally don't insult peoples religions UNLESS they insist upon making their religion the only true religion.

Freedom of religion also means freedom from religion.

Peace.

IGNORE THESE IDIOTS. Very rude and proved your point as well.

In my experience, I have found that Non-believers do so mainly out of Hatred and a need to create conflict out of a sense of pride.
While still others do so out of the afore mentioned hatred because they feel we are interfering with there right to live as they want to live and do not want others to try to pass laws upon them that would not allow them to do so.
I understand this as a believer, and also understand that those who feel that way live a double standard by wanting to pass laws upon those who believing that would restrict or abolish their ability to live their lives as they wish.

My felt experience of God is non-existant.

Your felt existance of "Allah" is your own business and I will not mock you for it.

But you pay homage to a spirit-being. An imaginary entity that you have no proof of. Love your family - not an almighty creator-ghost with magic powers.

Your God has no affect on my life. I value people in my life that I can hug, hold, make love to and actually have a conversation with. You value a God that can not talk back to you, can not hug you and has no way of letting you know he is there.

Good luck.

When people are uncomfortable with something, yes, they make fun of it. Why the discomfort? Good question.
