Needs replacement before it goes out! But see if you can tighten it by pushing down on the aletrnator. Sometimes the belt wraps around the cam shaft, the alternator, and the water pump. If any of these is loose it will squeek and you will have symptoms of the part that is loose failing. Sometimes it is just squeaky because oil, water, or ice got on it. It loses a little bit of performance in this case, but isn't as serious. The main symptom of this is it starts mostly when you start up the engine, and gets better after a while driving. No matter the cause, you need to check the belt and make sure it's not about to go. Wipe it off too, but if something is leaking on it that fluid will return.

Take it apart and find out what is rubbing idler tensioner and pulleys. Failure to do so may result in timing belt failure and bent valves.
