How is it more difficult to understand men than women? Men resist the temptation from saying it because they fear rejection so much and are so insecure about being in a situation where they are not in control. Simple as that.

I think the only reason men are scared of commitment is because they aren't with the person they want to be committed to. Sorry, not trying to be mean, but thats the way I've seen it happen.

I'm not scared of commitment and I am not difficult to understand to my knowledge I'm a man. Please don't generalise and put every single man on the same boat because not all men are afraid of commitment. Those men who are afraid of commitment, are people who are very insecure by themselves and don't know what they really want. They are adventurous persons and when they have a gf they will have her just to be like the others. But a relationship has plenty of commitments and it's not that easy one either.

the L word is like giving up power to a man, if he says it too soon he can b "clowned" too late and feel empowered especially if u say it first! If a man lets down his guard and says the L word he know he is hooked and can b manipulated to do things he may not want to do. On the other hand who wants to hear the L word just to GET SOME?? honesty is the best policy don't use the L word lightly it can have repercussions!

Total understanding of the word come with maturity. Most young men reach that maturity at different times, some never do.

You act as if commitment and the L-word are some kind of forgone conclusions. Life is not some kind of corset busting romance novel with red foil and lace on the cover.

When they find that the partner is playing with their weakness (love&fondness ) they litterly pass their time and refuse to take responsibility forever . Depend upon the opposite person also .Also scared of possesive / commanding and demanding nature .

I think that for the most part, men are scared of rejection and that women will use it to try to control them.

well, i disagree in a way, i know men who find it easy to say i love you but hesitant to commit. its them who abuse the use of the word LOVE,because for them it' s a physical thing.so be careful with your heart when it comes to men.
