I get just as annoyed at that as you do, however when you post something on a public website ASKING for answers, you are opening yourself up to any and all comments. Yeah, it's annoying, but you are over reacting. Keep their personal beliefs at home? You asked them for their personal beleifs! That's the point of this whole site!!!!! Just ignore it and shut up. Take the good answers and ignore the stupid ones. Duh. (And by the way - the Bible isn't a "fake" book just because you don't beleive it. Neither is any other religous book. Speak English properly.)

Did you ever think that people "push" their beliefs because they care?
No one cares about people or relationships anymore. Everyone walks around their life without reaching out to anyone. Life definitely has a purpose and so many are missing it. Those who quote the Bible are trying to help and trying to care. You should take it as a compliment and maybe read what they have to say.
The whole point of having "personal beliefs" is that you believe in them. If you truly believe than you want to share it with others. If you truly beleive you don't keep it at home.

You ask a question and someone gives you an answer based on their understandings and if those understandings so happen to be in a bible then so be it. Go ahead and quote whatever you like in your answers- if it bears relevance to the question then why not? More often than not people are christians and they leave their answers up to something to do with their beliefs and their faith than things will be okay. There's nothing wrong with that- this is then internet and there are all kinds of people here. If you don't like it- don't use it.

I am Christian and have a firm set of beliefs by which to run my own life. However, when people here are looking for advice, they are looking for advice that is compatible with their own belief systems, and it is best to answer them assuming they are not Christians. They want an answer to their question from an objective viewpoint, not a Bible thumping session. It's best to lead by example, not by putting verses into an answer on Yahoo Ask for someone who could care less. I agree with you...and even as a Christian, I wouldn't want people constantly quoting the Bible at me....I go to church and read the Bible myself when I want that.

Hmm...Sounds like someone doesnt want real answers. The Bible has answers or practical things in life. The book is not fake and has lasted longer than any other in history. It was inspired by God Himself. These personal beliefs are also part of free speech and I suggest you find another group to speak out against.

Then quit asking questions. Just like you have a right to post and reply, so do they. You can push your beliefs, and so can they. Yahoo is an American based company that practices free speech. So if you don't like it, leave. Their biblical quotes aren't hurting you.

What really makes me sick is when someone cuts and paste the whole damn thing. What is stupid about that is that it is a known fact that the computer is NOT a medium conducive to reading large tracts of information.
