No oven, no microwave, so no baking, no microwaving. Just two hotplates. Does anyone have some recipe ideas?

You can use a skillet to cook ground beef, or make hamburgers. You could cook pasta on one hotplate, and ground beef on the other hotplate. When the pasta is done, drain, add back to the pot, add spaghetti sauce and cook until heated through, and then add the ground beef at the end.

You could heat tomato soup on one hotplate, and make a grilled cheese sandwich on the other hotplate. All you need to do is get two slices of bread, butter one side of each piece of bread. Put cheese on the side with no butter, put the other piece of bread on top, butter facing up, and put in a semi hot skillet, after a few minutes when one side is golden brown, flip and wait a few more minutes until the grilled cheese is done.

You can make all sorts of eggs on a hotplate. All you need is a skillet. You can make omelette's with a nice cheese filling. Not too shabby!

Some super easy things would be cans of soup, pasta, instant mashed potatoes rice.

I hope this helps..
