In IE7 if i go to 'Organize Favorite' and move a favorite to a different folder it disappears from both the source and target folder! Can't find it in the recycle bin or anywhere else, have lost several this way already :-( Has anyone else got this issue? Or more importantly a solution?

I've looked in the Documents and Settings folder within favourites and they have deffinatley gone. I restarted and created a new favorite which i moved to a folder to test and sure enough the same problem again so there must be a bug, just don't know why it only seems to be me affected right now!

If you installed IE 7 and wish to go back, I simply don't blame you. I don't like it either.

Here are the instructions. I hope that they work for you.

Uninstalling Internet Explorer 7

To uninstall Internet Explorer 7 and restore Internet Explorer 6 when using Windows XP or Windows Server 2003

1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
2. Click Add or Remove Programs.
3. You might have to CHECK the box that says SHOW UPDATES
4. Scroll down to Windows Internet Explorer 7, click it, and then click Change/Remove.

If you cannot find Internet Explorer 7 in Add or Remove Programs, click Start, click Run, type
%windir%\ie7 \spuninst\spuninst.exe
(I added a space after ie7 so that the whole line would display)
and then press ENTER.

For more information, check this page at the Microsoft website. http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/aa740486.aspx

If you have further trouble, you might try the RESTORE thing in the System Tools folder and go back a few days before you made this terrible mistake.

Good luck and Happy Computing!

Internet Explorer 7 still has bugs in it. The bugs probably lost your favorites. I have got this issue and no, I never found it. I used the explorer search and it's gone now.
If you don't want it to ever happen again, leave all your favorites on the internet. To avoid making the same mistake, sign up to http://del.icio.us/ . It's simple but you do have to start all over again.
Don't always participate in betas; because the bugs usually harm your computer.
