CRC... That California Rehabilitation Center in Norco, right? I'm a regular visitor at another California prison and I have to tell you that your next step depends a great deal on WHY your 106 was turned down... If you visit this forum, http://prisontalk.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=483 we will be able to help you figure out how to appeal the decision, if in fact, it can be appealed.
See you there.

There can be several reasons why a visit will be turned down.
1.If the prisoner you wish to visit has lost that priviliege for some disciplinary problem.
2.If contraband has been found in the cell block and the whole unit has been put in lock down.
3.If there has been a fight and the cell block has been put in lock down.
4.Proper protocol has to be followed and if you are not on the visitation list due to an oversight to get the prisoner to put you on their list, you will be turned down.
5.Age of the child may be a factor. For security reasons there may be limit to the youngness of a child as to whether they can be taken into the prison.
6.Maybe this person doesn't want to see you. Just because he fathered your child doesn't mean he feels that material thing and he may have lost interest in a relationship and wants you to move on.
There is very little you can do but take it and hope for the best at the next visitation period.

Well first off I would suggest that you thoroughly check out the visitation policy and rules, after doing so you may find out why you were turned down, then before you attempt to visit him again make sure you have met all the requirements and guidelines the institution requires for a visit, and as far as changing your name and moving far away as suggested by another question answerer, kids don't pick their parents confined or not he is still their biological dad even after death do they part and nothing can ever change that fact it will always remain the same, the kids still have the right to know where their biological roots come from, depending on your situation and the length of time the dad is going to be in you may want to consider how you are going to keep the communication open and flowing especially if he is going to be serving a lengthy sentence, good luck.

Why would you want to introduce your child to the prison environment. Why haven't you changed your name and moved far away so you will never have contact with the criminal again? Do you really want your child growing up with criminal daddy?
