chickens evolved into egg laying birds so neither came first.
the glass is half full, not half empty because whats the point of saying that its got half of nothing in it?

Depends whether you are an optimist or a pessimist.
The optimist would say the glass is half full.
The pessimist would say the glass is half empty!
As for which came first the chicken or the egg.That will remain one of life's great imponderables!

I bought my gf a bday card with a picture of a chicken and an egg in bed. Both led there, and the chicken was smoking a cigarette and looking really pleased with itself. The egg looked miserable.
At the bottom of the card was the caption "well it looks as though that answers that question then".
Funny.

i think a guy created a animal that laid an egg then the egg hatched into a cicken then the chicken laid another egg so the egg came fist i think
