The Church has been doing in India that no good Christian whole over the world will ever support. Conversion is forbidden in the Bible. Still the Church in Europe started in a big way as a reaction to the spread of Islam by sword.

After the Industrial Revolution the Muslims have increased their population by uncontrolled birth rate and polygamy. And in order to counter that the Church is increasing by conversion out of fear lest, they might be outnumbered by the Muslims in the world.

But by bribing you are making them 'child twice' to use the words of Jesus in Matthew (23:15). Ignorance is perpetuated, a person is never enlightened by proselytizing. It is unethical and immoral. There should be no donation for furtherance of such activities.

The conversion of Hindus to Christianity is done (even now) mainly by giving money (Bribe) by Christian Missionaries. the main two reasons for this are-

The poor Dalits in India were treated very shabbily by the rich and untouchablity was the greatest mistake they were practicing and backward class people were not allowed to come up in life. This was the case some 3 - 4 generations back.

Secondly Dalits were all poor and having difficulty for day to day living. Unless he goes for work and earn days' wages he has to go to bed with empty stomach only.

Seeing this condition The christian Missionaries took advantage and gave lot of money, land, Houses for living, etc. Further the Crishtian people readily married the poor girls and offered life. Thus by all unethical moves the conversion was made in India. -

There is not a (Christian) church or mission in India which compells Indians to conversion using bribery or fraud.

Conversion is an internal process, you could pay me all the money in the world and I might say I am converted, but that doesn't mean I am. I don't believe that a church would resort to that, what's the point?

When have morals and ethics become part of religions?

Most of the religions are groups of people hating other group on one pretext or the other.

Missionaries are the best example of using bribes, media and misinformation to advance their faith

It is like one -eyed king, punishing all others to take their one eye...so that all are like him,..no one mocking his imperfection

Mother Terressa was perhaps the only christian serving the poor and ill, without asking them to convert....but she was/is not liked by churches

No, and they won't be going to heaven unless they come to Christ either.
Bribery shouldn't be a reason to go to church.
Where I go in the mornings (I go to 2 different churches one in morning one in evening)
they do breakfast, most of the time being croissants, maybe some hot cross buns, or those pain au chocolat, and a cup of tea or coffee, some people see that as bribery, but its just making people comfortable.

however, what you speak of is appalling!

No way! Christ would never condone fraud and bribery.

No, and Jesus makes that plainly clear.

"Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites. You traverse sea and land to make one convert, and when that happens you make him a child of Hell twice as much as yourselves." (Matthew 23:15)

Sure. Any means to an end, as long as religion is involved.
