Eat smaller portions.

Eat off of a smaller plate, that way you are likely to eat a lot less.

Or try and train yourself to eat until satisfied and learn to stop before you feel stuffed.

Hi,

With 6 weeks to go till the end of December u need to lose 2/3lbs a week to lose a stone, which means either burning, 7000/10,000 cals a week via exercise or cutting these out of ur diet.

I suggest cutting ur calorie intake down to 1000/1500 per day, and exercising every other day for an hour, making sure u warm up and down and stretch after!

Drink plenty of water at least 2 litres a day o help ur body process the fat. This als helps to stave off hunger.

Eat a balanced diet, dont cut out a food group esp not carbs as all u will lose is water NOT fat and when u eat normally it will just pile on again.

And stick to it, try to avoid too much procesed foods, try to keep it fresh!

Do this and u will each ur goal of 1 stones by the end of december! and not only will u have lost weight u will also have toned up!

One last thing weigh urself now then put them away till u r finished! or u may find urself being disheartened if its coming off as fast as u want!!

Rx Good luck! i Have 2 weeks to loss 1/2 stone and i am doing it the exact way i have described to u!! i have lost 2 already this week! and i started sunday!

You need to use more calories than you consume. Exercise will help but you have to be doing the right type of exercise in the right way or you are wasting time and effort. Get some professional advice at the gym and stick to a sensible eating plan. Remember diets don't work. Don't aim to lose more than about a pound per week and the weight is more likely to stay off. Good luck.

You are more or less same height as me and I am under 8 stone.

You must eat too much, esp, carbs. Dont eat potato, bread, any carbs in the evenings. Cut back on alcohol (esp. beer). Dont have sweets and chocolates and cakes, etc. Sometimes you will feel a real craving for these things but you will soon get over it - in a few months. Eat as much as you want at lunch times as long as its not rubbish - try pasta dishes and M&S meals (if you have access to microwave)

Try the postal Points Direct from Weightwatchers - its cheap.

I got up to 9stone 4 and knew I was too big - so gave up alcohol and take outs for 6 months, did points diet and cut back its hard but worth it.

You might think about trying this book called "The Movie Star Diet" by Steve Simmons. It helped me lose thirty pounds in 2 1/2 months when I didn't think anything would work. My goal to begin with was only 20 lbs! It has a really easy plan to follow and an excellent workout as well.

well if you putting on muscle and removing fat from you body by exercising , you could find that you total weight doesn't reduce too much , but the ratio of fat too muscle changes which is a good thing . Your aiming at around 2 pounds per week ..so you need too create a calorie deficit of 1000 per day ..id say about 500 in food calories less and 500 in exercise calories burned is a good number ..

Cardio at the gym in your own WEIGHT LOSS TRAINING ZONE.

I believe it is 75% of your maximal heart rate. (Just above your comfort zone).

Do 40 mins of this on the treadmill.

And eat healthily (dont starve yourself...that helps you put on weight when you begin to eat properly again as your body increases its ability to store fats)

I did this and i lost a LOT of weight.

its quite simple - eat healthy and exercise.

Some people say cut carbs out, but this is the lazy and unhealthy way. Its not healthy for you to take all energy from fat (which you would do if u cut out carb) as our body needs fats for other things. You can cut down on carb though (potaoes, pasta, bread, cerisal) but dont completely cut them out.
