Can anyone recommend a golf academy so that I can shoot in the low 80's. I live in California. My budget is less than 10K

I dont personally know of any golf schools there but an internet search of California golf schools will provide you with a great many options.

Now without going to a golf school you can always get lessons at your local course from the pro there , they are generrally around 60 dollars an hour.

However the quickest way to lower you score is to work on your short game , chipping and putting. Get proficient at this part of the game and lower your scores by 10 strokes very quickly.

There are many programs out there.

One of the better programs that can be had in CA is the Three-Day Resort School. The Three-Day Resort School is a comprehensive, instructional program emphasizing all aspects of the game.

Tuition includes greens and cart fees for golf following school each day, swing analysis and a Closing Golf Exhibition.

All sessions include instruction materials; unlimited range practice; golf equipment observation and evaluation, a video tape of individual instruction, amenity gift package, club cleaning and storage, daily breakfast and lunch with the instructional staff, and complimentary resort spa services.

All retail students attending the Three-Day Resort School will also receive: a Nike Golf 18° Slingshot Hybrid club, an ESPN Golf Schools branded duffel bag, an ESPN Golf Schools branded Nike polo, an ESPN Golf Schools branded cap, an One year subscription to GOLF MAGAZINE and One dozen Nike One golf balls.

Cost:

Commuter: $1,995 USD

Single Occupancy: $2,795 USD

Double Occupancy: $2,495 USD

Double occupancy with both persons attending the school, price per person. Staffing and schedule are subject to change.
